Abstract:
This study aimed to know The degree of accountability and effectiveness of educational administration principals' and the relationship between them in public secondary schools governorates of the West Bank from the point of view of employees in the Departments of Education, in addition the study aims to identify the role of study variables of (sex, educational qualification, a management expertise, Directorate location, job title) on The degree of accountability and effectiveness of educational administration principals' and the in public secondary schools governorates of the West Bank from the point of view of employees in the Departments of Education. In order to achieve the Study objectives, the researcher has to collect the necessary data through a questionnaire, was confirmed to the veracity of Arbitrators and the test, and having been applied to a stratified random sample, data were analyzed Using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The study population consisted of all employees in five departments (school management, control Administrative, financial, public education, educational supervision, personnel) in the departments of Education in the governorates of the West Bank, the sample was (693) staff members, was formed Sample of the current study (245) head and one in the section, representing (35%) of the study population was chosen randomly.
The study concluded The following results:
- Analysis showed that the estimates of study sample for the degree of implementation of accountability of educational administrative principals' in public secondary schools governorates were high In general, the average account of (3.65), a standard deviation (0.55.), and percentage (73.0).
- The estimates of study sample for the degree of effectiveness of educational administration principals' in public secondary schools governorates were medium in general, the average account of (3.35), a standard deviation (0.70), and percentage (67.0).
- The estimates of study sample for the degree of effectiveness of educational administration principals' in public secondary schools governorates were medium in general, the average account of (3.35), a standard deviation (0.70), and percentage (67.0).
- The presence of statistically significant positive correlation at the significance level (α =0.05) between the degree of application of managerial accountability and administrative efficiency to the directors of public secondary schools. Building on the findings of the study, the researcher recommended the following:
- Development of clear job descriptions so, that managers know the behaviors of managerial accountability to reduce the recurrence of mistakes, and t achieve excellence in work.
- Offering courses relevant to managerial accountability to become one of the things known to the majority of the community and make clear the need for educational institutions of all levels.
- Holding life-long training sessions for head teachers to enhance the technical and administrative competence and the face of future developments, as well raise the competence in the areas of staff development in school.
