The Reality of E-learning at An-Najah Un. and its Role in Achieving the Interaction between Learners from the Point of View of Students of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Faculty of Education Programs and Faculty Members

Abstract: 
This study aimed to recognize the reality of e-learning at An-Najah University and its role in achieving the interaction between learners from the perspectives of students of the Faculty of Graduate Studies/ Faculty of Education programs and faculty members, and to state the impact of the study variables. The study populations consisted of nine faculty members in the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Education Program and (428) students of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in the College of Education programs. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive and the analytical approaches through the use of a number of qualitative and quantitative tools, namely: the questionnaire, which was distributed to the students of the Faulty of Graduate Studies of the Education Programs, the interviews where the members of the faculty of graduate studies of the education programs were interviewed at An-Najah University and recording interviews, and analysis and extracting results also the documents issued by the center of e- learning were analyzed which include the center plan and the official status page on the Internet, in addition to a number of publications issued by the Center. After the data were collected and analyzed the researcher found that the total score of the areas of the reality of e-learning at An-Najah University from the perspectives of students of the Faculty of Graduate Studies/ Faculty of Education programs have brought average (3.73) and percentage (74.6%), and this indicates a high degree of responses in the study sample. This result coincides with the results of the interviews with the members of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in inadequate infrastructure at the university and met largely with the requirements of e-learning, and the role that the university plays in helping them to deal with e-learning and training services, technical support, and this was confirmed by the results of the documents issued by the E-Learning Center analysis. In terms of the role of e-learning in the achievement of the interaction between the learners came to the highest degree (78.2%), where this corresponds substantially with the point of view of faculty members about the role of e-learning in the achievement of the interaction between the learners. It was mostly agreed on the e-learning increases the interaction between educated themselves and between the learners and the teacher, to the diversity of interaction and communication tools it offers. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommends to develop of the infrastructure of the university and work to improve it to build a strong and solid foundation that supports educational style to keep up with what is happening on the global educational arena, and to increase total investment posed by e-learning of different communication tools in order to achieve a larger increase of the interaction between the learners and directing them towards achieving better results.
