Problem- Solving Strategies Among the Managers at the Palestinian National Authority Ministries

Abstract: 
This study aimed at recognizing the degree of the problem solving strategies among the National Authority. It also aimed at identifying the effect of the gender, social statues, scientific qualifications, experience and job variables on the problem solving strategies among the managers. The sample of the study consisted of (196) managers at the Palestinian National Authority Problem - Solving Strategies was administered. This scale to the participants consists of the following five domains: general orientation of the problem, defining the problem, generation the substitutions for soloing the problem, reliability of the scale was (0.91). The data obtained from there scale were analyzed the following methods: means, dependent t-test (paired t -test), two-way analysis of variance (A NNOV A), two-way analysis of co-variance. Results indicated that the mangers demonstrated an average degree 01" the problem -solving strategies also revealed that there is no significant difference at (a = 0.(5) in the problem -solving strategies among the managers at the Palestinian National Authority ministries due to gender, social status, qualifications, experience, and job. As a result, the researcher recommends the following: - Since the mangers have demonstrated an average degree of the problem-solving strategies, the ministries should held training programs, workshops, and conferences on the problem- solving strategies. - Manager should be give wider authorities so that they can gain more experience which in turn helps them to improve their problem - solving strategies. - Further studies should be conducted on the relationship between the problem -solving strategies and the professional allegiance in the managerial fields.
