The Effect of Using Generative Learning Strategy in Acquiring Grammatical Concepts Among Fifth Grade Students and their Attitudes Towards Grammar Learning.

Abstract: 
This study aimed at knowing the effect of generating learning strategy in acquiring grammatical concepts for the fifth grade's students and their attitudes towards grammar. By answering the following two questions: 1) Are there any statistical differences at (α≤0.05) for the effect of acquiring the fifth grade's students grammatical concepts attributed to the teaching method (generative learning strategy, traditional method)? 2) Are there any statistical differences at (α≤0.05) for the fifth grade's students attitudes attributed to the teaching method (generative learning strategy, traditional method)? The researcher used the experimental design. The study was applied to a purposive sample of the fifth grade's students in Tulkarm. Zita Martyrs' school for males was selected to apply the experimental study on. Group (A) was the experimental consisted of (22), that taught by the generative learning strategy, and group (B) the controll group which consisted of (21) students, was taught by the traditional method. The tools of the study were an achievement post test to figure out the degree of acquiring grammatical concepts, Teacher's Guidance for the generating concepts, and a scale for attitudes toward Grammar Learning. The Results of the study were: 1) There were significant statistical differences in the means of the controlled and experimental group, for the experimental group in the achievement post test attributed to the generative strategy. 2) There were significant statistical differences in the means of students attitudes between the controlled and experimental group that goes for the experimental group that was taught by the generative strategy. The recommendations of the study were: The necessity for training Arabic teachers on using modern strategies, such as: the generative strategy, and Considering students' ages and needs by implementing modern teaching methods, and Reconsidering curriculum. By using methods such as: the generating for acquiring grammatical concepts.
