Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the relation between administrative empowerment and organizational climate and the relation between them among the principals of basic governmental schools in northern of West Bank from the principals points of view. To achieve the study goals, the researcher used descriptive methodology through using a questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The questionnaire consisted of (52) items distributed in (9) domains. The questionnaire validity and reliability were approved.
The study population consisted of all principals of basic governmental schools in northern of West Bank, which equal to (443). The sample consisted of (283) principals and the were selected by stratified random sample. After data were collected and analyzed, the researcher achieved the following :
- The administrative empowerment achieved a high degree in basic governmental schools in northern of West Bank from the principals points of view with mean (3.95) and the organizational climate achieved a high degree with mean (4.10).
- There are no significant differences at (α = 0.05( between the principals points of view in the domains of administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools due to gender in the domains of authority, participation, responsibility, clearance of goal, training and development, total degree of administrative empowerment domains, model at work, human relations and total degree of organizational climate, while there are significant differences between the means of their points of view in domains of productivity and work flow in favor of female principals.
- There are no significant differences at (α = 0.05( between the principals points of view in the domains of administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools due to academic qualification in the domains of authority and participation, while there are significant differences between the means of their points of view in domains of responsibility, clearance of goal, training and development, total degree of administrative empowerment domains, productivity, work flow, model at work, human relations and total degree of organizational climate in favor of holders of B.A and below.
- There are no significant differences at (α = 0.05( between the principals points of view in the domains of administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools due to experience of school administration in the domains of authority, training and development, productivity, work flow, human relations and total degree of organizational climate domains, while there are significant differences between the means of their points of view in domains of participation, responsibility, clearance of goal, total degree of administrative empowerment and model at work in favor of more than 10 years of experience.
- There are no significant differences at (α = 0.05( between the principals points of view in the domains of administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools due to specialization.
- There are no significant differences at (α = 0.05( between the principals points of view in the domains of administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools due to school location in the domains of authority, participation, responsibility, clearance of goal, training and development, total degree of administrative empowerment, productivity, work flow, human relations and total degree of organizational climate domains, while there are significant differences between the means of their points of view in domain of model at work in favor of village.
- There is positive correlation at (α = 0.05( between administrative empowerment and organizational climate at basic governmental schools in north of West Bank from the principals points of view.
Based on study results, the researcher recommended the necessity of principals training on employing administrative empowerment on improving school organizational climate as a result of positive effect on school and it's family and reviewing the empowered authority for schools principals and give them extended authorities in managing school issues.
