Abstract: 
The purpose of the study was to develop employment criteria for the educational supervisors. The population of the study included all educational supervisor in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (202 supervisors of both sexes). The study sample comprised 40% of the study population. The number of educational supervisors in the study was 85. After administering the questionnaire, the researcher received 82 responses. To achieve the study objectives , the researcher designed the questionnaire based on review of educational literature and previous studies on the subject. The questionnaire consisted of 22 criteria and covered 207 items. The Criteria were ranked as follows: 1- Personality traits of educational supervisor 2- Educational supervisor's ability for self-actualization effectively and efficiently. 3- Appropriate professional preparation in the educational supervisors work in Palestine. 4- Educational supervisor's ability to analyze problems and make take decisions. 5- Educational supervisor's ability to achieve goals of educational supervision 6- Educational supervisor's ability to motivate employees. 7- Educational supervisor's ability to achieve teacher's professional development 8- Educational supervisor's ability to take/hold professional responsibility 9- Educational supervisor's ability to evaluate his work and follow it up effectively and efficiently. 10-Educational supervisor's ability to practice different supervising activities and methods. 11- Educational supervisor's ability to carry out office work and use high technological equipment 12- Educational supervisor's ability to apply tests. 13- Educational supervisor's ability to work effectively & efficiently 14- Educational supervisor's ability to conduct research and surveys 15- Educational supervisor's ability to identify pupils' needs, tendencies and abilities. 16- Educational supervisor's ability to organize his work effectively and efficiently. 17- Educational supervisor's ability to plan ahead. 18- Methods and ways of choosing educational supervisors. 19- Educational supervisor's ability to develop teacher's performance. 20- Educational supervisor's successful academic experience. 21- Educational supervisor's ability to simplify textbooks and curicula. 22- Educational supervisor's educational and academic qualifications. Recommendations 1. In Selecting the educational supervisors, the ministry of education may adopt some or all of these criteria developed in this study. 2. In preparing supervisors' programs and curicula, the educational supervisors' should be engaged in these activities. 3. Both Primary and high levels should be provided with specialized supervisors. 4. Female supervisors should be given more opportunities to participate in training courses at home and abroad.
