Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to' investigate the Impact of Music learning on the Ability of Problem Solving In high Elementary Students in Nablus Directorate. Moreover, this study aimed at identifying the effect of: School places, school average, class, father and mother learning level, on that. The sample of the study consisted of (383) student from high elementary students in governmental schools in Nablus Directorate. The sample represents a (2.420/0) percent from the whole society whom chosen in intentional method for students whom learn music and strati lied - Random for those who did not. They were asked to fill in Hipner scale for measuring the ability of problems solving which developed by. hamdi (1998). This scale consisted of (40) items divided equally into lour domains: (General Orientation, Problem Definition. Generating Alternatives, Decision-Making, and Verification.) Tests were conducted to measure the stability of the indicator by applying (Cronbach alfa Equation) coefficient of constant (0.82) and this approves the study purposes. And about the validity of the measure and it is fitting for the study was applied on the Palestinian environment by many studies. And the researcher represents it on a group of D.rs and they decided that the measure is excellent. Data that were obtained was analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reached to these results: I. Results indicated that high Elementary Students in Nablus Directorate ability for problem solving, were small for every domains which were (50,4 -55 0/0) per cent. About the total degree for problem solving were little too which were (52,8 0/0). 2. (MANOV A ) of the Statistical Wilk-s Lambada and Sidac test for binary comparison Results indicated significant differences at (ex =0.05 ) between the ability domains to solve problems. Results also indicated that the most domains responding were Problem Definition (55 0/0) which is low degree. And the lowly were Verification domain (50.4 0/0) which is low degree also. 3. Results also indicated that there was no significant differences at (ex =0.05) in the ability of problem solving at high Elementary Students In Nablus Directorate due to (learning music, School place, luther learning level, mother learning level) Variables. 4. Results indicated that there was significant differences at (ex =0.05) in the ability for problem solving at high Elementary Students In Nablus Directorate due to school average for the privilege of Students who have 80 % and more school average. 5. Results also indicated that there was no significant differences at (ex =0.05) in the ability of problem solving In high Elementary Students In Nablus Directorate due to class Variables on (General Orientation, Problem Definition). But there were significant differences at (Generating Alternatives, Decision-Making, and Verification) domains for eighths and ninth class Students privilege. The researcher reached to several recommendations: 1. Increasing of music teachers and make one teacher from one school. 2. And Making similar studies in music education and the ability of problems solving, by using other measures to test the ability of problem solving at several ages from students of Palestinian directorates.
