The old city of Nablus encompasses numerous distinguished that are worthy of preserving. Among these buildings are the old soap factories which are exemplifying important buildings of the old city. These had been markedly targeted and severely destructed during the Israeli incursions of the Palestinian cities and towns since April 2000. On one hand; this is a reason that has been sparkled the intention to research the soap factories and their relation to the urban fabric of the old city. On the other hand; the scarcity of information is indeed; another encouraging reason to research this subject. The study documents all information related to the soap factories before they further deteriorate and are destruct.
