Abstract: 
This thesis entitled “Provisions of Gifts in Islam” deals with the definition of the word gift and gives its various definitions. It shows the evidence to the gifts legitimacy in Islam, its importance and its conditions of acceptance. The study also talks about the gift regarding the giver and the receiver such as the father’s gift to his sons, the gifts of the married and engaged, Muslims’ gifts to non-Muslims and others. Additionally, the study talked about the gift regarding its different types and different occasions whether religious or social. It also moved on to discuss promotional gifts and bank gifts showing the opinions of contemporary scientists on such gifts and their conditions for the acceptance of such gifts.
