The Reality of Using MIS and its Relation with Administrative Creativity According to the Point of View of the Principals of the Secondary Schools of the West Bank

Abstract: 
This study aimed at recognizing the reality of using Management Information Systems (hereinafter referred to as MIS) and its relation with administrative creativity according to the principals of the governmental secondary schools of the West Bank. The researcher employed the descriptive approach depending on the questionnaire as a means of data collection. Further, the population of the study comprised (600) secondary schools’ principals in the West Bank. In addition, the sample comprised 300 principals, who were chosen by using the method of Stratified Random Sample (hereinafter referred to as SRS) based on the variant of the directorate. The data was collected and analyzed by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as SPSS). The researcher found that the total degree of the reality of using MIS by the principals of the secondary governmental schools in the West Bank was high that the arithmetic average of the total degree was 3.55. Thus, there were no Significant Difference at the level of (α=0.05) among the responses of the principals of the secondary schools in the West Bank to the reality of using MIS due to the variations of type, major, qualification, directorate. In addition, there were variations at statistical levels among the responses based on the variant of experience including the category of more than10 year in the area of software components and networks and in the field in general in the category of the variant of experience of more than 5 years. Besides, the study showed that the degree of the administrative creativity of the principals of the secondary schools in the West Bank was very high that the arithmetic average reached 4.26. Moreover, there weren’t any Significant Difference among the averages of the responses of the principals of the secondary schools in the West Bank at the statistical level of (α=0.05) to the extent that the implementation of creative administration was due to type, experience, qualification and directorate. There were, also Significant Difference among the responses of the principals of the secondary schools in the West Bank at the statistical level of (α=0.05) to the extent that the implementation of the administrative creativity was due to the variant of major. Above all, there weren’t any Significant Difference among the averages of the responses of the principals of the secondary governmental schools in the West Bank concerning the reality of using MIS and the averages of administrative creativity at the statistical level (α=0.05). In light of the previous results, the researcher recommends studying the topic of MIS in depth at the level of the Palestinian schools.
