Abstract:
This study aimed at investigating to the Prophet's sayings that are cited in the Islamic Education curriculum or the high basic phase of the ninth & tenth grades, and recognize correct saying of the other weak. This study specifically interested in the references of the prophetic sayings that are cited in the textbooks other than the sayings that are cited from the two Saheeh books (Saheeh Al Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim), and then judging them. After making references (Takhreej) of the prophet's sayings, it is suggested whether the weak ones shall be replaced by verses from the Holy Quran or by correct sayings. Following this, the undocumented information in the textbooks are documented and referred to its original sources. Among the investigated prophetic sayings (n.85), 33 in the ninth grade, only 10 are found to be correct. And 52 in the tenth grade, only 14 are found to be correct. The study recommended purify Islamic Education Textbooks from weak sayings, and replace them with verses from the Holy Quran, or correct sayings.
