Abstract: 
When I carried out this research under the title "The Palestinian Autobiography from 1992-2002" I devised a working plan so I could discuss the subject from all its sides. I divided my research into an introduction and four chapters. In the introduction, I talked about autobiography in general. The first chapter was about the development of autobiography in western and in Arabic literature. It was divided into five sections.The first section introduced the definition of autobiography and its kinds. The second talked about the development of autobiography in western literature. In the third section I talked about the autobiography in the ancient Arabic literature. The fourth was about the autobiography of modern Arabic literature, and, here, I presented some samples of autobiographies, (As-Saq ‘ala as-saq) for Fares Shediaq, (Al-Ayyam) for Taha Hussein, and (Al-Khobz Al-Haf) for Muhammad Shukri.
