The Judgment on the Unlawful and Debatable Meats in Islamic Jurisprudence

By the name of Allah, and the peace and blessing be upon the noblest of Allah's creation, Muhammad Bin Abdullah, the last of the prophets and messengers. All praise is to Allah as befits his majesty and great power. I aimed in this modest research which consists of four chapters to explain the judgments on the unlawful and debatable meats in the Islamic Jurisprudence. In the first chapter, I explained the judgments on the unlawful meats mentioned in the Qua'an. They include: the dead, blood, and the flesh of swine, also that which is invoked to other than Allah. Also I talked about the flesh of strangled (animals) and of those beaten, that which is killed by falling, gored to death, mangled by beasts of prey. In the second chapter, I explained the judgments on the unlawful meats mentioned in Sunnah. They include: the animals that have tusks and the birds that have claws; And the judgments on mules and domestic donkeys. I also talked about the judgments on Al-Fawasiq which includes: dogs, scorpions, snakes, wolfs, kites, and crows. In the second chapter, I explained the judgments on the unlawful meats for other reasons which mentioned in Qur'an and Sunnah. They include meats prohibited because the animal is not slaughtered on the Islamic way; and meats prohibited because the animal slaughtered by non-Muslims like Pagans, Druze, and Apostates; and meats prohibited because of the animal's food like those which eat dirt. In the fourth chapter, I talked about the debatable meats including wild, sea and amphibious animals like the Hedgehog, lizard and lint. I also talked about the imported and frozen meats; and the preservatives and their effects on human.
