Abstract:
This study searches in the Arab Tunisian poet "Abu Alqasim Alshabi`s" language side in his poetry. Abu Alqasim Alshabi was considered one of the remarkable "Apollo" Romantic poets in the Arab West countries during the last century. This study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The researcher gathered up all the pessimist vocabulary in the first chapter. He also classified those vocabulary into a particular dictionary lexicon alphabetically. In the second chapter, he divided these words into groups of synonyms or words nearly having the same meanings. He also did his best to study and analyze those groups separately. He did this through studying the connotation and denotation meanings for the above-mentioned vocabulary. Then, he showed the relationship between each groups` pessimist vocabulary. In this chapter and through studying those words by this way, the researcher recognized that those words have different connotations and denotations. This implies how wonderful, creative and genius the poet was when he chose such vocabulary. In the third chapter, the researcher focused on some important language issues in Abu Alqasim Alshabi`s poetry such as rhymes, rhythms, Arabicized words, similes, metaphors, opposites, homophones, homonyms, synonyms and the wonderful order for the words in his poetry. This study shows Alshabi`s great admire in using some of the language issues such as the opposites and the homonyms.Last but not least, the study shows and explains the most noticeable results the researcher had noticed during this study.
