The impact of using problem solving strategy in the development of intellectual security among tenth grade students in Tulkarem

This study aims to identify the impact of using of problemsolving strategy in developing the intellectual security of the tenth-grade students in Tulkarem. The researcher followed the experimental method with a quasi-experimental design. The study has been applied to an purposive sample consisted of (44(students and divided into two groups, an experimental group, which has been studied using problem-solving strategy and a control group, which has been studied in the traditional way. The researcher designed the lessons of the "environmental issues" unit according to the problemsolving strategy. The study tool was a measure of intellectual security that consisted of (3) domains and (21) items, it has been approved by submitting it to a group of arbitrators. The reliability coefficient was extracted according to Cronbach's alpha formula (0.83). The data has been collected, coded and processed statistically by using the statistical package for social Sciences. The results of the study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences, attributed to the use of problem-solving strategy in developing the intellectual security of the students, between the two study groups. Based on the findings, the researcher recommends conducting other studies related to intellectual security by using other strategies and other approaches.
