Abstract: 
   This study examines the indicative development for "Eye" proninciation in Arab poetry till the end of Umayyad Age. It's divided into three chapters in addition to the preface. The preface includes the definition of Semantics and the reasons behind the development of the Semantic words in addition to its features that may sit for altering their significance.  As for the first chapter, it addresses the role of the "Eye" in directing language and its impact on knowledge and science. Besides, it focuses on the role in formation literature and formulating the artistic image.     The second chapter is concerned with following the indicative development for the "Eye" pronunciation in Arab poetry till Umayyad Age and dealing with the aspects of such development and its causes. The researcher has been able to do so by using poetry and trying to trace the period of time when that significance was born , frozen or even ended.  The third and the final chapter provides statistical study for poetry in question and it addresses statistics compared to the three ages in question. Besides, it includes research findings that might contribute to knowing the development of Semantics or even its non-development .Finally, the conclusion outlines the most important findings the researcher has come up with from her study.
