Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of a proposed rehabilitation program using electrical stimulation and massage on improving the performance of students in physical education in an- najah national university. To achieve that, the study was conducted on a purposive sample consisted of (20) female- students who registered in track and field course (1), and the sample was divided evenly into tow groups: experimental group (n= 10) and control group (n=10). As a tool of the study, A proposed rehabilitation program using electrical stimulation and massage for the female-students in physical education in an- najah national university was implemented for (8) weeks with (3) training sessions per week. To collect data, pre and post tests were conducted for the physical variables (speed, agility, flexibility, muscular strength, endurance), and SPSS was used to analyze data. The results of study showed that the proposed rehabilitation program improved the physical performance of female-students in experimental group for (speed, agility, and muscular strength) variables, and despite this improvement, no significant differences was found at (α = 0.05) in the post-test of physical performance between the experimental and control groups. The researcher recommends the necessity of using this proposed rehabilitation program before the training programs, and the necessity of conducting similar studies using this program as a substitute of warm-up part on the players of different games.
