The degree of Principals’ Commitment in Private Schools to the Strandards of School Administration Profession and its Relationship with Teachers Job Satisfaction in Jerusalem from the Teachers’ Point of View

Abstract: 
This study aims to know the principals compliance of the school management criteria in the private schools at Jerusalem, to know also about the job satisfaction that teachers have in these schools, to know the demographic variables like scientific degree, sex, experience, specialization and school kinds and how it could affect on the job satisfaction. It also goals to reveal the relationship between the principals commitment in these school and the level of teachers’ job satisfaction. To achieve the goals this study, the researcher use the descriptive – correlative method by applying the questionnaire as a mean to collect information , consists of three parts, first one about the demographic variables, the second and third parts containing of (83) items. which are allocated into these parts, three aspects in the second and one part in the third. Then its administration to the sample of the study. All the private school teachers in Jerusalem (1700) are involved as the population in this study. The sample of this study was stratified randomly selected who were 350 teachers: (60 males /290 female). The results of this study were the following: The degree of commitment of school administrators for school management profession standards were high, where the average overall arithmetic (3.99), the arithmetic average of the degree of adherence to the standards of work (3.80), the arithmetic average of the degree of commitment to personal standards (3.92), the arithmetic mean of the degree of compliance with social standards (3.97). The job satisfaction that teachers in these private schools have was very good with average of (3.89). There were no statistically significant differences in levels of principals compliance of the school principals in favor of: qualification and gender and experience. There were statistically significant differences attributed to the specialist in favor of arts. And statistically significant differences attributed to the kind of schools, in favor of elementary schools. And There were no statistically significant differences in level of teachers job satisfaction attributed to scientific degree and specialist. There were statistically significant differences attributed to gender, in favor of males, and There were statistically significant differences attributed to experience in favor of (less of 5 years), and There were statistically significant differences attributed to kind of school in favor if secondary schools. It shows a positive relationship between the level of commitment to the profession of directors of principals standards, and the level of teachers’ job satisfaction. Based on these results, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations، the most important provide adequate opportunity for teachers to participate in decision-making, and to ensure their participation in internal courses and external, and to encourage fair competition between them, and conduct similar studies of the subject of the study
