Vitamin D, the "aspirin" of the 21st Century

Abstract: 

Vitamin D is essential for calcium metabolism as well as for fracture prevention, Recent review suggested high prevalence of inadequacy among the general population particularly among women with osteoporosis in different regions of the world.
This presentation will review the importance of Vitamin D for the skeleton (bones & muscles) as well as for the prevention of many other diseases.
Also we will review the Vitamin D results of the FiJoNOR survey showing large inadequacy of Vitamin D in the Jordanian female population.
