Abstract:

The world today faces many challenges and experiences rapid changes that occurred in the various walks of life which force the educational institutions to meet these challenges by adopting modern educational methods such as blended learning which this paper aims at shedding some light on. Learning can be undertaken to suit the particular individual demands of both teachers and students. Rather than limiting participants to rigid times and locations, the flexibility of e-learning offers educational institutions the ability to deliver education independent of time and place. Both students and teachers are no longer tied to the traditional classrooms, but can work from home or any other geographical areas they prefer. Therefore, this paper focuses mainly on using some technical devices i.e.: Virtual Classes and E-activities in teaching English in a blended learning environment, which covers 50% as Face-to-Face meetings and 50% as virtually, and enhances teaching-learning English among Reading1 Section of Al-Quds Open University students. The course aims at teaching some passages, new vocabulary, writing paragraphs and essays as expressing opinions, etc. and this experience shows how much the students were motivated and welling to work during the semester and they actually did.
