Abstract: 

I. The speaker will explore the process of non-verbal communication when sending messages through gesturing, touch, body language, posturing, facial expression and eye contact. He will also explore communication that takes place through objects or articles such as clothing or hair style. Speech also may contain non-verbal elements such as para-linguistics, intonation and stress.
II. The speaker will touch upon the wrong messages that may be conveyed if the body language does not match the verbal message and how non-verbal communication can strengthen a first impression like attracting a partner or in a business interview.
III. Manners and customs in the Middle East go back to the beginning of civilization within the harsh desert environment that governs interaction between individuals
