Abstract: 
This is a descriptive- statistical – verbal sentence – negative and affirmed- in Al –Emran Surah. Light has been shed on the inception of the concept ranging between being synonymous with the term speech and its absence, giving more credence to the latter view. The study has dealt with the divisions of the verbal sentence according to different considerations. It has also discussed the negated and affirmed verbal sentence and deventrated its types, significations and relations with contiguous elements and the frequency of its occurrence (in both cases).
