Abstract:
This research is about the image of woman in the pre Islamic prose. It consists of an introduction and four chapters. In the introduction the researcher discussed the reason behind her choice for the subject, its importance, the previous studies, difficulties she encountered in the research, the method she followed as well as the sources and references that are used.
In the first chapter, the researcher discusses the woman in the ancient thought(thinking) and her position in the Civilization of Yemen, Mesopotamia, Sham, Egypt and the west.
In the second chapter, the researcher has discussed the position of woman in the Pre-Islamic life (Aljaheleya) and the way she is different from other nations.
In the third chapter, the researcher talked about the woman’s image in the period of pre Islamic prose in an introduction by studying various arts of prose such as preaches, commandments, messages, proverbs and good talking and description. It contains two subjects in the chapter of this study to draw the self-portrait of women in the art of prose and the portrait in which man has described her. These arts have given an accurate image about the life she lived. The first subject was about the role of woman in the household and the researcher discussed the woman’s image and the high values in the community in the second subject.
The fourth chapter was about the artistic formation of the woman image in the pre Islamic prose. The researcher has studied the prose texts that clarified more about woman’s image. I studied that in an artistic way and in three sections. The first dealt with the artistic image. In the second, I talked about the style and language. The third was about music.
In the conclusion of my research, I summarized the findings I reached about her. I also listed the sources and references in an alphabetical order.
