Abstract: 
This study aimed at investigating the level of sports culture and attitudes towards the participation in sports activities amongst an-najah national university students and determining the relationship between them, as well as to determine the differences in the level of sports culture and attitudes towards the participation in sports activities according to gender, faculty, participation and academic year variables. To achieve this, the study was carried out on a random sample that consisted of (293) students of different humanitarian and scientific faculties at an-najah national university, it was divided into (174) students of scientific faculties and (119) students of humanitarian faculties. The researcher utilized the descriptive approach convenient for the nature of study questions through the application of a questionnaire as a tool to collect data, statistical packages for social sciences (SPSS) program has been used to analyze data after its collection. The results of the study revealed that the level of sports culture of the students at an-najah national university was very high, where the percentage of response for the total score was mean not Percen tage (84.2%), and the degree of students attitudes towards the participation in sports activities was high, where the percentage of response for the total score was (79.2%), as well there were a statistically significant positive correlation between sports culture and attitudes (r= 0.709). Also, the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of sports culture and attitudes towards the participation in sports activities amongst an-najah national university students according to gender and academic year variables. In contrast, there were statistically significant differences in the level of sports culture and attitudes towards the participation in sports activities amongst an-najah national university students according to faculty variable for the humanitarian faculties’ students. Moreover, there were statistically significant differences in the level of sports culture and attitudes towards the participation in sports activities according to participation variable for the participants students. The researcher recommends several recommendations where the most important is the need of attention in the facultative courses in the universities such as physical education, sports culture, nutrition and all of courses which are related to personal health for its positive role in promoting the sports culture.
