The Level of Awareness of First Aid Principles Among Football Coaches of Palestinian Professional League: A Player's Perspective

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of football coaches awareness in first aid principles in Palestinian professional league as perceived by players, in addition to determine the differences in the level of football coaches awareness in first Aid Principles according to (playing experience, scientific qualification, player participation and player position) variables. To achieve that, the study was conducted on a random sample that consisted of (87) players in Palestinian professional league of football, and the sample represents (36.25%) of the study population. A new questionnaire consisting of (24) items was designed and used as a tool to collect data after conducting its validity and reliability coefficients. SPSS software was used to analyze data and reach the study results. The study results showed that the level of football coaches awareness in first aid principles in Palestinian professional league as perceived by players was high, where the percentage of response for the total score was (71.6%) .In addition, the results revealed that there were significant differences in the level of football coaches’ awareness in first aid principles due to scientific qualification between (bachelor degree and higher, general secondary and less) and (diploma) in favor of (bachelor degree and higher, general secondary and less), where no significant differences were noticed between (bachelor degree and higher) and (general secondary and less). Also, the results revealed that there were no significant differences in the level of football coaches’ awareness in first aid principles according to (playing experience, player participation and player position) variables. The researcher recommends several recommendations where the most important was the focus on holding courses in first aid principles for the old and new football coaches.
