Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the effect of the client's character on extending credits decision by commercial banks operating in Palestine, and to find whether if there is a significant correlational relationship between variables related to client's character, and to identify the extent of differences in the study in question, in reference to the variables (job title, qualification, years of experience, specialization).
This study utilized descriptive analysis approach to answer the questions of this study .
Aquestionnaire was employed and the total number questions were (30) questions , which was distributed to total of (94) individual .
The (SPSS) statistical package was used for the data analysis.
The study concluded a set of results :
- the client's character has a great effect on extending credits decision by commercial banks operating in Palestine.
-there is a significant positive correlation at level between client's character and extending credits decision by commercial banks operating in Palestine .
-there is no Statistical differences found upon the effect of the client's character on extending credits decision by commercial banks operating in Palestine due to study variables (job title, qualification, years of experience, specialization),
The main recommendations of the study:
- Rehabilitating a staff that has the comprehensive experience and understanding to analyze accounting information concerning character to streamline the training credit policies.
-The need to work on the judicial system specializing in financial matters to resolve disputes that the financial institutions are apart in them, and that reinforce the credit policy in banks, which gives the priority to the reputation of the credit applicant.This gives much of credit facilities that prefer this measurement and concentrate on them. This also reflects positively on national economy and the local production through increasing operating investment.
