Abstract: 

This study aimed at examining the effect of computerized and ordinary linguistic educational games on treating reading disabilities for the fourth graders in two private schools in Amman governorate. The study sample )n=48( had been chosen upon the results of diagnostic test developed particularly for this study, and upon the results of the Arabic version for Michael Best Scale. The subjects were randomly assigned into three groups, the first group treated by computerized linguistic educational games, the second by ordinary educational games and the third group by traditional method of teaching. The results of this study showed: - There were statistically significant differences between performance means of the immediate and delayed achievement test in favor of the group treated by computerized linguistic educational games. - There were statistically significant differences between performance means of the immediate and delayed achievement test due to gender and in favor of female students. The researchers addressed the importance of implementing computerized linguistic educational games in treating reading disabilities. More studies are needed to explore the effect of those games in treating writing disabilities.
