Abstract:
In this research I talked about the employment of myth in the Palestinian narrative, specifically feminist narrative, highlighting the importance of this employment, the results of this employment and the reasons for it. This paper comes into three parts; an introduction, three main chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction I articulated myth definition, legendary propensity, and the harbingers of employing myth in the contemporary Arabic narrative. In the first chapter I defined the Palestinian feminist literature, articulated the lives of the female authors and the sources of their cultures, in addition to a general summary for novels subject for this study. In the second chapter, in the first section I talked about the myth characters, starting by defining these character according to the myth books, and how each writer has used it. In the second section I talked about the myth place and how each writer has used the place in their narrative. In the third section I talked about the myth era and in the fourth section I talked about the objects, assets and symbols that were used in the novels. The third chapter of this paper comes into four sections, in the first section I talked about the aesthetics of the myth in the Palestinian feminist novel and how it served the artistic aesthetic text. In the second section I talked about the effects of the myth on the narrative structure of the novel and its influence on the narrative settings; place, historic moment, character and plot. In the third section of this chapter I talked about the influence of myth on the semiotic addresses, names and places in the Palestinian feminist novel. In the fourth section I talked about the language and the myth and the influence of each on the other. In the conclusion I spotted the most important findings and recommendations reached in this paper.
