The Role of International Partnerships in Program and Institutional Development

Many institutions fall short of accomplishing their mission because of the increasing scarcity in human and other resources. International partnerships offer a means of leveraging institutional resources. These partnerships are potentially associated with significant benefits as well as sizeable challenges. The intricacies of typical partnerships are discussed. Two case studies are presented, and the implications for future such relationships are drawn.
