Abstract: 
تناولت هذه الأطروحة موضوع ختم النبوة في الكتاب والسنة ، فبيّنت معنى ختم النبوة في اللغة ، ودلالات الختم المعتمدة عند الطوائف والمذاهب المختلفة ، وتطرقت إلى مواضيع لها علاقة وثيقة بهذا المفهوم كموضوع ادعاء النبوة ، وقضية المهدي المنتظر، وقضية عودة المسيح عليه السلام في آخر الزمان ، ثم تم توضيح هذا المفهوم والتأكيد على أن المعنى الصحيح له هو الإغلاق والإقفال المطلق بحيث لا يأتي نبي بعد محمد إلى قيام الساعة ، وتم ذلك من خلال الرجوع إلى كتب اللغة وكتب التفسير والحديث وآراء العلماء على اختلاف أزمانهم ومشاربهم ، ومناقشة الآراء المخالفة وتفنيدها ، كما تم التنويه بأهمية هذه العقيدة وضرورة الاهتمام بترسيخها لدى عموم المسلمين للمحافظة على كيانهم العقدي قويا وسليما وخاليا من الشوائب ؛ ولتحصين أمة الإسلام من التمزق والتشتت والضعف ، إضافة إلى فتح الآفاق أمامها للانطلاق والإبداع في أداء مهمتها في إعمار الكون اعتمادا على كتاب الله تعالى وسنة نبيه الأكرم صلى الله عليه وسلم.
