Abstract:

The aim of this study is to explore the methods or technique of the trill on the violin while performing Arabic Music, and to try to codify those methods and refer to them by special symbols in order to unify them among musicians. The trill technique in Arabic Music is distinguished with a special flavor, which differentiates it from other musical traditions.   To be able to perform this kind of music in a more academic way based on sobriety and clarity, recognizing these methods and studying it in-depth is important. We tried in this study to define some models in Arabic Music compositions with the trill technique. At the end of this study we discovered a lot of different methods in performing the trill technique in Arabic Music, and these trills performed in a specific way showed us the significance of the Arabic Music and its value.
