Abstract: 

This study aimed at determining a list of contemporary professional standards for teachers of mathematics of in the basic stage, and determining the extent to which these standards are available with a group of mathematics teachers of the basic stage. It also aimed at identifying the impact of the experience of a group of mathematics teachers in terms of the professional standards they employ. The study sample consisted of (160) Math’s teachers in the directorate of Education in Medina.
Three tools have been developed and applied on the study sample; questionnaire, observation sheet and guided interview sheet. the results of the study showed that all proposed standards (including all indicators) were accepted as needed contemporary professional standards that should be reflected in Mathematics teachers' performance in the basic stage. The state-of-the art of these standards was at 44%, which is a low percentage. Seniority did not have a significant role in professional standards
