Abstract: 

The research discusses the Friday sermon in light of the present day condition. It returns back to the components of the speech in the Islamic tradition in an attempt to measure their bearing on the present practices of Friday speakers. The research probes the issue of Friday speech relevance to contemporary global debating. The research relies on data collected via a questionnaire that is meant to determine actual speaker practices during Friday speeches. Finally the research offers solutions to challenges faced by speakers when dealing with contemporary issues relevant to every day events in the world of today.
